Experience the Magic of STEAM: Explore, Discover, and Create at the first-ever Hillside Elementary STEAM Fair! Join us for an evening of innovation and excitement, where - alongside captivating science, business, engineering, and arts showcases - interactive stations will spark curiosity and inspire all ages!
Proposal Registration is now closed. Please join us at the event on Friday, May 17th, 6:30 - 8:30!
Children are invited to sign up with their creative ideas for projects in categories related to:
- Science
- Consumer Science
- Engineering
- Innovation
- Business
- Visual Arts
- Performing Arts
Please note that only ONE submission per child is allowed, so choose your category wisely. All ideas must be approved by Hillside Staff to participate. Don't miss this chance to showcase your STEAM skills and creativity!

March 11 - April 4th: Proposal Submissions
April 9th - All Proposals will be dispositioned.
April 10th - Parent Meeting
May 17th - STEAM Event Friday, May 17th 2024

STEAM Fair Safety Guidelines:
- Projects may not involve vertebrates. A vertebrate is an animal that contains a backbone. This includes human beings.
- Projects involving invertebrates (worms, insects, mollusks, etc.) will be approved as long as the the invertebrates are not harmed and there is a plan to return the invertebrates to their natural environment. Example: Which type of leaves do Painted Lady caterpillars prefer?
- Projects involving the following may not be approved for safety reasons: chemicals, mold, bacteria, use of fire, use of electricity other than standard batteries, or any other factor deemed to be unsafe.
Present your findings neatly and creatively. Use visuals (trifold), and other aids to enhance your presentation. Have fun and enjoy the process of discovery!
